Our Advanced Reading & Writing Program is designed to strengthen students’ literacy skills through engaging, structured, and age-appropriate instruction. The program is divided into three levels: Grades 3–4, Grades 5–6, and Grades 7–8, to ensure targeted skill development at each stage.

 

Grades 3–4: Building Foundations

At this level, students develop essential reading comprehension and writing skills. The focus is on:

• Improving reading fluency, vocabulary, and understanding of texts

• Identifying main ideas, supporting details, and story elements

• Writing complete sentences and structured paragraphs

• Developing confidence in expressing ideas clearly

Through guided reading, interactive discussions, and creative writing activities, students build a strong literacy foundation in a supportive environment.

Grades 5–6: Expanding Skills

Students deepen their comprehension and begin to think more critically about texts. The program emphasizes:

• Analyzing themes, characters, and text structures

• Expanding vocabulary and using more precise language

• Writing multi-paragraph compositions (narrative, descriptive, and expository)

• Organizing ideas with clear introductions, supporting details, and conclusions

Learners are encouraged to express opinions, support their ideas with evidence, and develop their unique voice.

Grades 7–8: Refining and Advancing

At this level, students refine advanced literacy and communication skills to prepare for high school expectations. Focus areas include:

• Critical reading and interpretation of diverse texts

• Analytical and persuasive writing techniques

• Structuring essays with strong thesis statements and supporting arguments

• Editing and revising for clarity, coherence, and style

Students engage in discussions, peer feedback, and independent writing tasks to strengthen their confidence and academic readiness.​
