Aaron Weiss
Aaron Alan Weiss is a dedicated and dynamic educator who brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the classroom. He has taught and developed engaging courses for students of all ages—from elementary and junior high to high school, college, and university. Whether it's in the classroom, during after-school programs, or at summer camps, Aaron knows how to connect with students and make learning meaningful and fun.
Parents can feel confident knowing that Aaron has a proven track record of educational excellence. While teaching at York University, he earned the highest course evaluation scores in his department—based entirely on student feedback. His teaching goes beyond textbooks: Aaron’s work has been published, and he has shared his expertise at national and international conferences focused on education, anti-racism, and intercultural learning.
Aaron’s passion for storytelling and education recently came together in a powerful project he co-produced and co-wrote—an interview with Wanda Robson, sister of civil rights icon Viola Desmond. This inspiring educational video was purchased by the Toronto District School Board and is now used to educate students on Canadian history and social justice.
Before entering education, Aaron was already making waves in the media world—recognized as one of the youngest TV producers in North America at just 13 years old. Since then, he has worked as a producer, director, host, and journalist in radio, television, and documentary film.
With his unique background and genuine love for teaching, Aaron creates enriching, inclusive, and exciting learning experiences that help students grow intellectually, creatively, and socially. He’s not just teaching—he’s helping young people discover their potential.
