Ms. Tania Tobar has been supporting multiage and multilevel learners for 13 years in private and non-profit organizations. She has taught ESL, English credit, and learning enrichment courses for children and adolescents, as well as life skills courses for adults. She has been an online literacy tutor for the past three years, using a systematic approach to supporting students' acquisition of reading and writing skills. She possesses master's degrees in English and Adult Education, as well as a TEFL certificate. Ms. Tobar also has an interest in the psychology of learning. She has completed a Registered Behaviour Technician Training course and a certificate in learning disabilities and ADHD, which have afforded her the knowledge and skills to work with students who possess learning differences. Recently, Ms. Tobar has completed certificates in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Trauma-Informed Supports, which have enhanced her approach to addressing the mental health needs of her students. Currently, she is completing a certificate in Mental Health and Addictions. 

 

In her spare time, Ms. Tobar enjoys having coffee dates with family and friends. She also enjoys hiking, listening to podcasts, reading non-fiction books and speaking Spanish. She is encouraged by the knowledge, skills and talents of her students, and she welcomes any opportunities to learn from them!
